Went to the grocery after picking up the kids from school. It was a great time spending time with the kids as they assisted in bringing the items to the counter. Not to mention they also helped themselves with the stuff they like and put it in the basket! My kids are growing.. and in no time they will be going somewhere else..by themselves..These are boys…will they ever think about their Mama when they are out there living their own lives…are they gonna miss me at some point…and say “I wish Mama was here.”? Brings tears to my eyes..I just want them to know and always remember that their Mama loves them so much and is very proud of them!

We had a wonderful time, my husband and I with the kids. After a month long busy schedule in September, we finally had a rest and recreation activity.Had a hearty dinner-Yellow Cab pizza,Charlie Chan pasta, chips and sodas! Kids went swimming afterwards. Macky had a long massage and I slept well thinking about nothing..Everything just slipped away..No cellphones..
In the morning,I accompanied my kids in the swimming pool while surfing the net for a short peek..and then read my book..what a wonderful weekend!

Festival in the Philippines. We have a lot of Festivities in our country.Let’s focus on this one little city where I was born and grew up in for  20 years before I got the chance to explore and see other parts of the country and other parts of the world as well. Iligan City is situated south of the Philippines,in North Mindanao. It is considered to be a city of Majestic Waterfalls. We have 44 waterfalls in all.But in my 20 years and more in this city..I had only visited 3! I am in fact,an alien in my own city! The truth of the matter is..I have not dared to explore these places yet and I think this goes to other people living in this city too.Distance is one consideration also..I have a lot  going on in my mind that I wanted to share to other people.I will take you with me as I venture into blogging. This is my first time to share my thoughts in the internet..and I am loving it! I hope before my lifetime ends..I can visit these waterfalls and show them to the world. And do a lot of things!

Going back to the event I am featuring in this blog,we just had a month long celebration of  the Iligan City Fiesta.A festival wherein we honor our patron saint St.Michael the Archangel. We had a lot of celebrities who came  from the capital Manila. There were concerts too! There were contests like the Lights and Angels Parade wherein we joined and won first prize! It was a lot of hard work but it paid off. We had a Food Festival where I was the over all chairperson. It was successful but again very tiresome. It was a great experience for me though…I like to organize events and since I stopped working from a multinational company..Nestle,this was the first time that I did activities where I did it for free! Next time, will be different.
